Olio Extra Vergine d’Oliva di Castiglione Ugolino

has a fruity, robust artichoke aroma with grassy almond background notes. A blend of Leccino, Moraiolo and Frantoio olives, it is soft on the palate with a fresh, slightly bitter peppery finish. Some folks only familiar with grocery store olive oils are pleasantly surprised by just how much flavor they experience.

We, of course, are addicted to our EVOO and use it for just about everything, any way we can, from simply drizzling it on fresh vegetables or sliced grilled steak to sautéing or even baking with it!

It is an amazing olive oil and when we use it (usually on simple tomato or green salads or dipping Mark’s bread) we add nothing else as it is perfect!

I bought this oil because of the novelty of its having been produced by my neighbors. I ordered 4 bottles, raced through one, shared another with my family, and decided to give it to my daughters for Christmas. I ordered 4 more bottles and now, well, I have to wait for the next batch.

It is truly delicious, light and flavorful, and is perfect for salads and on vegetables. Can’t wait for my next bottles.

I’d say on a scale of 1-10 … it’s a 10!
